SD4372 : Old Fish Trap

taken 12 years ago, 4 km SW of Silverdale, Lancashire, England

Old Fish Trap
Old Fish Trap
Over a period of several months this old fish trap has been revealed by the scouring of the tides. It consists of metal scaffolding type poles with netting draped over it and is sitting on top of a skear consisting of some size-able boulders, probably deposited during the outflow of the glaciers from the lake district.
